When I picture my Mom, she is always standing. Standing, but rarely still. Growing up on a farm outside of Dallas, Oregon, must have attributed to this characteristic. You might find her in the kitchen baking her famous snicker doodles or wiener casserole, serving the delicious home-made food to Dad and other family members; or she would be making the bed; doing the laundry; or out in the garden planting flowers. Mom was the consummate caregiver! Mom also delighted in decorating for every single holiday! New Year's, Valentine's Day, Shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day (which is Terri's birthday as well), Easter, May Day, Memorial Day, Flags on 4th of July, Fall Harvest, Halloween, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving , with Santas and Snowmen at Christmas. She had decorations for them all. I'm happy to say this "decorating gene" was passed down to Susan. Looking forward to visiting your house around Valentine's Day Sis! She was also a huge Disney fan. "It's a Small World" was her favorite ride at Disneyland, and at home, she displayed many beautiful Disney collections and memorabilia. Likes: Family Gatherings, Grandkids, Wheel of Fortune, The Sound of Music, Peanut Butter Pie, Rosy Cheeks wine, Michael Bublé, fun socks. ♫These are a few of her favorite things♫ ... How we will miss her "howdy-do" and "toodle-oo". So many memories to smile about. Please share your stories on this website. My family would love to read them.
